NOLA New Orleans Pet Memorial Parade: Memorable Moments and Remembrance

The Nola Pet Memorial Second Line Krewe was born out of the heartache shared by a small group of friends who gathered at our local bar in early 2025 to reminisce over cocktails. As we drank, cried, and laughed together, we came up with the wonderful idea of organizing our first memorial for pets through a second line parade to honor our beloved companions. This heartfelt initiative quickly evolved into a fundraiser aimed at supporting less fortunate animals in our NOLA community. Our mission is to raise awareness for no-kill animal rescue missions and shelter animals while bringing together friends, family, and the community at various pet memorial events.

For this year's event, we are working with B.E.A.R. (Big Easy Animal Rescue) & Trap Dat Cat. We have already contributed to both organizations leading up to our parade in November (Halloween weekend). To further help these organizations (and hopefully others) we have applied for a charitable 501(c)(3) certificate, and out application is pending.
